Water Sports gives players the opportunity to go Kite Surfing, Wake Boarding, Wind Surfing and Jet Skiing all without having to get wet or leave your living room! Challenge yourself on the Wii Balance Board, race against your friend in multiplayer mode, or work together in cooperative Wake Boarding. Water Sports is designed to be an easy to learn but difficult to master game for the family that feels more like an arcade game than a simulation.

Krome Studios Sees Layoffs

Krome Studios, Australia’s largest developer, has made an undisclosed number of layoffs across its Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne locations.

CEO Robert Walsh cited declining game sales and the struggling economy as reasons for the cutbacks at the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Wii/PS2/PSP) and Viva Pinata: Party Animals (Xbox 360) developer, which was formed in 1999 and plays home to over 400 staff.

PSP adhocParty Coming West

Sony is bringing its PSP adhocParty service to Europe, North America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

While PSP"s ad-hoc mode has traditionally required users wanting to play online together to be in close proximity, adhocParty enables two or more players, each with a copy of the same title, to play together or share content over the internet through their PS3.

Nintendo Details WiiWare Demo Programme

Nintendo UK has launched a WiiWare demo programme offering free trials of select titles until January 31, 2010.

Internet connected Wii users can now download demos of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A Darklord, Gaijin Games’ Bit. Trip Beat and Over The Top Games’ NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits.

All demos are directly available from the main entry point of the Wii Shop Channel or from the WiiWare section of the Wii Shop Channel.
