    OnLive Works On Mobile Phones

    Cloud gaming service OnLive works with mobile phones, OnLive founder and CEO Steve Perlman has revealed.

    Initially, mobile devices will be used for OnLive community and social elements like spectating live gameplay, but full access to the OnLive game service is also planned.

    Perlman demoed OnLive running simultaneously on two iPhones, a TV and a computer at the Wedbush financial conference in New York.

    Xbox Division Doubles Operating Income In Q1

    Microsoft has reported flat year-on-year sales for its Entertainment and Devices Division, but the unit’s operating income almost doubled during the first quarter of its fiscal year ended September 30, 2009.

    Revenues for the division, which covers the Xbox 360 and Zune platforms as well as PC and online games, totalled $1.89 billion (£1.16b), almost identical to a year earlier, while operating income rose from $159 million to $312 million (£191.3m).

    Abobe CS5 To Export Flash As iPhone Apps

    The forthcoming new version of Flash Professional will allow developers to create iPhone and iPod Touch apps using ActionScript 3.

    Developers using the hugely popular Flash development platform will have the option to export their projects as code that natively supports iPhone and iPod Touch’s ARM processor. It will be available as part of a beta of CS5, which will begin at a currently unspecified date later in the year.
