That Brothers in Arms finds it difficult to hit the right tone has always been evident from the eccentric double-act that presents it to the press. On the one side you have Colonel John Antal, military advisor to Gearbox Software, commending the game’s accuracy, detailing the extensive research into the exact weather conditions on September 22 1944 in the Dutch town of Veghel. “It rained that day,” Antal says. “We have rain in our game.”

Godfather II Could “Change Rules” of Sandbox

Electronic Arts confirmed Friday that The Godfather II videogame will be arriving in February 2009, complete with strategy elements.

2006’s original Godfather game was heavily inspired by the free-roaming gameplay of Grand Theft Auto. Godfather II will incorporate an open-world environment as well, but also adds the “Don’s View,” which EA describes as a “strategy meta-game” that allows players to see the world of Godfather II and manage the family’s growth on a broad scale.
