The Sci Fi cable network and online game developer and publisher Trion World Network have announced the hiring of two entertainment figures to help spearhead their unique game/TV show venture.

TV writer Peter Egan, who has written for series including Playmakers, Over There, Medium and Medical Investigation will write the pilot episode for the project.

Trion and Sci Fi"s project is a property co-developed as a cable TV show and an online game.

Trion founder and CEO Lars Buttler said in a statement, “We are making terrific progress with the joint Trion–Sci Fi project and are proud to announce the addition of these two new key hires."

Trion announced in September that it received $70 million in funding. The firm also has in development a fantasy MMORPG led by Might and Magic creator Jon Van Caneghem.
