Warner Bros has confirmed it will distribute the upcoming Terminator: Salvation game, set to launch in-line with the film’s release in May 2009.

The third-person action game is currently being worked on by Swedish game developer Grin, whose recent work includes the PC version of Tom Clancy"s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 as well as the PSN and Live Arcade downloadable remake of Bionic Commando.

A number of companies are involved with the game; Halcyon Games will hold the rights, with Equity Games and Evolved Games co-publishing, and Warner Brothers acting as distributor.

“Building on the incredibly strong franchise, Terminator Salvation will be a cinematic gaming experience that complements the upcoming film,” says Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment’s executive vice president John Quinn.

Details of which system the game will be released for have not been announced, nor has there been an official release date set.
