Leipzigs Crowd Pleasers
Call of Duty World at War, Warhammer Online, World of Warcraft and StarCraft 2 were among the most popular games at the Euro-focused Leipzig Games Convention last week, analyst Colin Sebastian said in a Monday investor note.
While he admitted that his observations are "unscientific," he said the long lines for a select number of titles indicated significant consumer interest amongst attendees:
- World of Warcraft and StarCraft 2--Activision Blizzard
- Fallout --Bethesda
- FIFA 09--EA
- Need for Speed Undercover--EA
- Warhammer Online--EA
- Gran Turismo--Sony
- SingStar-Sony
- Midnight Club: Los Angeles--Take-Two
- Far Cry 2--Ubisoft
Sebastian added, "Our observations at the show suggest that PC games, including MMOs, remain very popular among European consumers."
