Sega’s Phantasy Star Portable has reportedly shipped 500,000 units.

According to this Game Watch report, translated by Kotaku, the PSP action RPG hit the half million shipment mark in the first full week following its launch in Japan.

The title, which released in Japan on July 31, notched up 342,000 sales during the week ended August 3 to debut at No1 in the software chart, according to Media Create figures.

A western release for the game hasn"t been announced to date.
