Mehta hopes to spread the word about the microtransaction sector, a business in which Silicon Valley-based PlaySpan is currently active.

PlaySpan offers micropayment solutions for virtual worlds.

Mehta"s speech will take place in front of industry professionals on Monday, August 11 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre in the U.K.

EIEF 2008 takes place from August 10 to 12.

PlaySpan made headlines in 2007 when it was revealed that Mehta"s son, 12-year-old Arjun, co-founded the company, and played a role in landing $6.5 million in venture capital for the firm.
