We recently had a chance to catch up with our friends from Cal Ripken's Real Baseball a Netamin game to find out what's currently going on and future plans for the MMOSG title.

What is Cal Ripken’s Real Baseball?

Cal Ripken’s Real Baseball is the only MMOSG for baseball in the world.  Cal Ripken’s Real Baseball is a unique, and free, MMOSG that allows users to play baseball in 3D virtual stadiums with an avatar.  Players get a first person perspective as they run, hit, and throw from any position on the field.  Cal Ripken’s Real Baseball provides a global community for players of all ages to interact and learn about the fundamentals of America’s Pastime.

What are the features of Cal Ripken’s Real Baseball?

Our features include team-based tournaments, team-based leagues, free agent tournaments for those that are not on teams, home run derbies, a player development camp, and Rookie, Minor, Major, and Ultimate challenges.  Our Leagues are what separate us from most online MMOSG’s.  The ability to use baseball strategy, pickoffs, bunt defense, and pitch selection provide our gamers to create their own statistics and destiny.

Can players develop career statistics?

Players can create their own statistics in Cal Ripken’s Real Baseball.  Through successful game play on the field, players will have their hits, home runs, RBI’s, runs scored, and other aspects of baseball accounted for.  Pitchers will have an ERA, a strikeout record, and a running total of innings pitched, just to name a few.

What can gamers expect when they play Cal Ripken’s Real Baseball?

Gamers can expect to be welcomed by a community that supports healthy and honest competition.  Our game is secured by top-notch software protection and our community members follow a Code of Conduct that fosters healthy game play.  Sustaining a competitive game and enforcing a Code of Conduct allows players to play online baseball with the security that your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority.

What events can future community members look forward to?

Gamers may also expect many events to participate in.  For example, our promotional tournaments are held periodically to aide players in growing their abilities to win awards and prizes!  Our Leagues are our most competitive platform, where our top three Divisions (Major, All Star, and MVP) compete head to head in a 10 week season for a championship and virtual trophies.  Our Challenges are also popular, as Free Agents compete against others to win extra points to develop their character.  Our community is busy!
