Austin, Tex.-based NCsoft North America said Wednesday that former GameTap marketing VP David Reid would be taking reins as VP of marketing.

Reid had also worked at Microsoft as director of global platform marketing, leading global marketing and product planning for Xbox 360.

He"ll head up marketing and brand management at NCsoft North America.

NCsoft told Next-Gen that Reid will help fill the space left by Dorothy Ferguson, the former VP of marketing and sales for NCsoft North America who left the game maker at the end of 2007.

The company will be naming a VP of sales "soon," a spokesperson said.
