A list referred to as a "complete listing of Participating Companies" has been made available to press registered to attend the event, and comprises of the majority of major publishers, two independent developers, id Software and Foundation 9 Entertainment, and accessory manufacturers Logitech and Nyko Technologies.

Santa Monica's Barker Hanger is set to host the event exhibit hall with companies running demos at nearby hotels. In a dramatic reduction from last year's attendence figures which totalled 60,000, it is believed that around 3,500 invitation-only guests will attend the new slimmed-down E3 scheduled for 11-13 July.

Below is the full list of major publishers due to attend this year's E3 Media & Business Summit:

1C Company, Activision, Akella, Atari, Atlus, Buena Vista Games (now Disney Interactive Studios), Capcom, Codemasters, Crave Entertainment, Eidos, Electronic Arts, Konami, LucasArts, Majesco, Microsoft, Midway, Namco Bandai Games, NCsoft, Nintendo, Sega, Sony Computer Entertainment, Sony Online Entertainment, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive, THQ, Ubisoft, Vivendi Games, and Warner Bros.
